The built  environment can include many things.  A good one will  include texture, detail, and maybe even a little  humor.  It will engage the  user,  evoke feelings, make him or her welcome, curious, or inspired.   It will  satisfy their needs for a place to sit, to get from one place to  another, or to  experience a little bit of nature.

I have been  helping to bring  outdoor spaces to life for over 45 years, mostly while working  for a company  called POD Inc., and then Sasaki Associates.
